Servite, Northwood, Yorba Linda, Villa Park and Foothill capture Tuesday victories

Servite 59, Fairmont Prep 44: Scott Schulz scored 19 points and Joaquin Rigdon added 11 points to lead the Friars. Servite (9-4) opens Trinity League play Wednesday hosting St. John Bosco.

Northwood 75, University 68: The Timberwolves (9-9, 1-0) won their Pacific Coast League opener Tuesday on the road against University (4-11, 0-1). Northwood was led by Aditya Sheth who had 25 points including seven 3-pointers along with six rebounds and three assists. Zaid Yunis had 17 points, two steals and two rebounds.

Ryan Abaye had 11 points and five assists, Sam Alegre had seven points, four assists and two steals, Aidan Arnold had seven points and three assists and Matthew Boothroyd four points and 12 rebounds for the Timberwolves.

Yorba Linda 45, Brea Olina 43: The Mustangs opened Century Conference play with a win Tuesday. Tanner Yoon scored 13 poiints and Jake Hansen 11 points to lead Yorba Linda. Christian Altamirano scored 23 points to lead Brea Olinda (8-11).

Villa Park 56, Esperanza 49: The Spartans (12-6, 1-0) earned a league win Tuesday. Jack Sharar had 19 points and eight rebounds, Isaiah Labat 11 points, six rebounds and two blocks, Dakari Harris 11 points and nine rebounds and Jayden Baude seven points, seven assists and five steals.

Foothill 71, El Modena 43: The Knights were led by Rocco Gaffoglio, who had 16 points and four assists and Travis Paleo, who had 13 points and three rebounds. Foothill (16-1) has won 11 in a row. The Knights won a tournament title Friday.
