Segerstrom High School’s football team’s new-look football schedule for 2021 has been finalized, according to Coach Joseph Tagaloa.
CIF officials tentatively moved high school football from August 2020 to January 2021 because of the coronavirus pandemic. Schools will need to have in-person instruction and local and state health officials will need to provide approval for high school sports to occur.
“I am excited about this year’s schedule because of the six new opponents that we added,” said Tagaloa. “The only pre-season opponent that remained the same was El Modena.
“Every other school is going to be the first time our program gets to compete against them. Our new league schedule welcomes Katella, in exchange for Westminster. The Big Four League is going to be very competitive, which makes for exciting football.”
