Segerstrom’s football team will soon be preparing for its season opener with Bell Gardens on Friday, Aug. 23, at Segerstrom.
Coach Joseph Tagaloa said he’s looking forward to the start. His team also has a scrimmage with Fullerton on Friday, Aug. 16.
“I am really excited for the upcoming season,” said Tagaloa. “We play several quality opponents in the pre-season in order to prepare for our league.
“This year we open at home vs. a very tough Bell Gardens team followed by our rival game vs. Godinez. I can’t wait to see our guys compete.”
The Jaguars, who have seven non-league games, open Big 4 League play on Friday, Oct. 18 against Garden Grove at Segerstrom.
Segerstrom was 8-3 overall last year and finished sescond in the Big 4 with a 2-1 record.
