Savanna and Estancia baseball squads capture Friday victories

Savanna and Estancia high school baseball teams recorded victories on Friday.

SAVANNA 6, LOARA 1: Lupe Garcia pitched six innings allowing no eaned runs and went 1 for 2 at the plate. Alex Garcia was 3 for 3 with three RBI and two doubles and Bryce Machado was 1 for 3 with a triple. He also pitched one inning.

ESTANCIA 2, COSTA MESA 1: Estancia improved its record to 2-2 overall and 1-1 in the Orange Coast League. Starting pitcher Drew Mitts, a freshman, pitched seven innings, allowing one run and giving up five hits. He also struck out five to get the win.

Junior catcher Blake Peck had two hits and Andrew Coyotzi was 1 for 3 with the game-winning run. Jack Moyer, the shortstop, had the game winning sacrifice for the Eagles, according to Coach Bishop Griggs.
