The first of five Ryan Lemmon Senior Showcase baseball games is scheduled Friday night, May 17 when the Orange League faces the Orange Coast League at 6:30 p.m.
The event, featuring high school seniors from Orange County leagues, is run by the Ryan Lemmon Foundation and founder Guy Lemmon. Dick Owens is the tournament director.
Schedule:
Friday, May 17: Orange League vs. Orange Coast League, 6:30 p.m.
Saturday, May 18: Century League (Crestview and North Hills) vs. Empire League, 10 a.m.
Saturday, May 18, Freeway League vs. Golden West League, 1 p.m.
Sunday, May 19, Pacific Coast League vs. Sea View and South Coast, 10 a.m.
Sunday, May 19, Trinity League vs. Sunset League (Surf and Wave),1 p.m.
The event is being held the same weekend as the CIF finals at Lake Elsinore Diamond Stadium. But the only team that is in the finals from Orange County that was scheduled to participate in the Ryan Lemmon Showcase is Beckman, which meets St. John Bosco in the Division 3 final Saturday at 4 p.m. at Lake Elsinore Stadium.
Admission will be charged to the showcase.
