Senior quarterback Eddie Ma had a big night Thursday for Northwood throwing two touchdown passes to lead the Timberwolves over Valley View 28-7 in a non-league road game.
Ma completed 20 of 34 passes for 245 yards. Cole Hildago had five catches for 106 yards and two touchdowns and Eddie Petrushin six catches for 54 yards.
Joe Harper led the way on defense with two sacks and several quarterback hurries and two tackles for losses.
“The defense held them to 15 yards rushing and two of 18 passing for seven yards,” said Northwood Coach JC Clarke.
Clarke said he believes his team can play better. The Timberwolves face Crean Lutheran next Friday, Sept. 14 at 5:30 p.m. at Crean Lutheran. Coach Rick Curtis Crean Lutheran team (2-1) had a bye this week.
“We thought we played sloppy on both sides of the ball with way too many penalties,” Clarke said. “We will need to clean up a lot before playing a very good Crean Lutheran team next Friday.
“We see it as a great opportunity to show what we can do if we are clicking on all cylinders.”
