Portola’s football stadium will be the site of the Bulldogs opener on Friday, Aug. 17 vs. Fairmont Prep.
Portola’s first varsity football game was at home on Friday, Aug. 17 as the Bulldogs, coached by Peter Abe, host Fairmont Prep at 7 p.m. on campus during week zero.
The Bulldogs then play Saddleback on Friday, Aug. 24 at Century High School.
Portola also has a nonleague home game on Friday, Aug. 31 against Godinez, also at 7 p.m.
The Bulldogs will then have road games on Friday, Sept. 7 against Whittier at California High School and against Web on Friday, Sept. 14 at Damien High School.
Portola has a bye in week five before opening up the Pacific Coast League season on Friday, Sept. 28 against Beckman at Northrup Field on the Tustin High campus.
The “Forthcoming” game for Portola will be on Friday, Oct. 5 against University.
Portola joins the Pacific Coast League making the PCL an all-Irvine league. Corona del Mar moves into the Sunset League.
