Segerstrom High School’s baseball team used a solid pitching performance to defeat California of Whittier 1-0 Friday night in the Halo Classic at Angel Stadium.

It was one of a series of high school games featuring Orange County teams playing at the home of the Los Angeles Angels.
“It was an outstanding performance by our Jaguar pitchers tonight at Angel Stadium,” said Segerstrom Coach Erasmo Ramirez. “Isaac Acosta threw four solid innings. Joseph Mendez, Tito Fraser and Vicente Najera each threw a scoreless inning.”
Segerstrom improved its record to 8-5 after the non-league win, witnessed by a solid turnout of Jaguar fans.
