Bonita’s boys basketball team ended Pacifica Christian’s hopes of advancing to the CIF finals for the second year in a row, defeating the Tritons 62-53 in the quarterfinal round of the CIF 2A playoffs Wednesday night at Vanguard University.
Pacifica Christian lost to Fairmont Prep 52-49 in the 4AA finals last year. Pacifica Christian finished with a 22-8 record while Bonita (28-2) moves on to the semifinals Friday night vs. top-seeded Ribet Academy at home.
