Orangewood Academy’s girls basketball team battled to the end, but came up short Tuesday night, losing to Windward 61-58 in the CIF Southern California Division I final at Orangewood Academy.
Hannah Stines scored 20 points, Juice Brown had 13 points, Brya Arroyo-Gillcrese 12 points and Sofia Saldivar 10 points to lead Orangewood Academy (24-10), which was trying to reach Saturday’s state final.
“Tonight hurts, but I’m sure in a few days we will be able to see all the great things we accomplished this year,” Orangewood Coach Leslie Aragon said Tuesday night.
