After wrapping up a CIF playoff berth with a 22-17 Sigma League victory over Estancia Friday night, Ocean View’s football team wraps up the regular season meeting Rancho Alamitos Thursday at 7 p.m. at Garden Grove.
Calvary Chapel (9-0, 4-0) has clinched at least a share of the league title while Ocean View (7-2, 3-1) is in second place. Estancia (5-4, 1-3) is still in the playoff chase. The Eagles play at Santa Ana Valley Thursday night.

“We will continue to keep our head down and work together for our goals,” said Ocean View Coach Daniel Hernandez on Monday.
Trevor Vaivao-Luapo led Ocean View offensively, rushing 25 times for 157 yards and a touchdown. He also caught a 39-yard touchdown pass to finish with nearly 200 total yards, according to Hernandez.
Dereon Oliney had 80 yards and a touchdown on 15 carries for the Seahawks.
“The offensive line: Elijah Armenta, Caden Townsend, Brian Alvarez, Angel Garcia, and Kelvin Leal paved the way for 275 rushing yards on the night,” Hernandez said.
Quarterback Dean Northam completed 5 of 7 passes for 89 yards and one touchdown.
On defense, Chris Vincent and Greg Gates had interceptions, helping Ocean View hold off a late comeback by Estancia, Hernandez added.
Estancia was led by junior quarterback Kai Bargas who had three completions for 46 yards.
Senior wide receiver Brandon Bettinghausen hauled in a 50 yard touchdown pass, senior Jeff Brown rushed 12 times for 45 yards and a touchdown, senior wide receiver Bennett Molica had three receptions for 80 yards and a touchdown and Brandon Bettinghausen had a 106-yard TD return on a punt and 10 tackles.
Senior linebacker Brady Macphee had eight total tackles and senior linebacker Angel Mondrangon had seven total tackles.
