Senior Christian Thorpe led the defense with five steals and senior Aditya Hari recorded eight saves for Northwood (12-6 overall).
“I’m happy with the way that we’re playing right now,” said Northwood Coach Kyle Kim-E. “When I think back to the first week of practices and games that we had, I knew that we had a lot of work. But, the guys have trusted the process and I have seen an immense amount of improvement. It isn’t one or two guys doing everything, but instead it’s a team working together to win games.
“We have some of our toughest league games coming up over the next couple of weeks, including D3 top-ranked Irvine and Portola. I like that we have been sort of a quiet, underdog this season; it will be nice to see how we stack up against Irvine and Portola before heading into the league carousel and hopefully the playoffs, if we qualify.
Northwood will play at University Tuesday and host Irvine, ranked No. 1 in the CIF Division 3, on Thursday.
