PHOTOS: Fairmont Prep edges Pacifica Christian in OT to capture CIF Division 2AA title

Fairmont Prep’s boys basketball team battled back from a big halftime deficit to defeat Pacifica Christian 64-60 in overtime in the championship game of the CIF 2AA division Saturday at Toyota Arena in Ontario.

It was the third meeting of the year between the two teams, who split their league contests.

David Abisogun had 20 points and 15 rebounds to lead the Huskies (22-9). Oliver Jones had 13 points and Marcus Fernandez added 12 points for Fairmont Prep.

EJ Spillman led Pacifica Christian (23-8) with 29 points and four assists. Michael Noel had 10 points and Hudson Reynolds eight points for the Tritons.

Fairmont Prep outrebounded Pacifica Christian 32-18.

Pacifica Christian held a 33-24 halftime lead Fairmont Prep got back into it outscoring the Tritons 14-7 in the third quarter.

The game was tied 53-53 after regulation.
