Dana Hills High School football team captured a wild 50-49 overtime victory over defending league champion Irvine Friday night in the Pacific Coast League opener for both teams at Irvine Stadium.
“It’s a big win for our program; Irvine has been the best team in our league, beating them is a big deal to us,” said Dana Hills Coach Tony Henney on Saturday.
“We went for two at end of first OT; (we) thought (it was) better to try and be better than them on one play.”
