Beckman High School’s baseball team remained atop the Pacific Coast League standings with a 5-1 victory over Laguna Hills Wednesday at Patriot Park.
Zach Ireland notched his third victory of the season, throwing a complete game 3-hitter striking out six for Coach Kevin Lavalle’s Beckman team (10-2, 8-1).

Ashton Kanegae and Cameron Do-Khanh each had two hits to lead the offensive attack. Kanegae had two doubles, and Do-Khanh had one double. Beckman scored four runs in the second inning on five hits. Laguna Hills is 5-8-1 and 3-6 in the PCL.
The teams play again Thursday at Laguna Hills.
