Pacifica Christian boys basketball coach Jeff Berokoff confirmed on Friday that 6-7 junior Judah Brown has verbally committed to play college basketball for Division 1 St. Mary’s College.
During the past two years, Brown has attracted more than 20 NCAA Division 1 offers, offers including schools such as Nevada, George Washington, Western Kentucky, and San Diego to name a few, according to the coach.
Brown is currently in the top 10 in Orange County in points per game (16.3), rebounds (9.5) and assists ( 4.7). He is also averaging 3.7 blocks a game.
“Judah is a special player, and I am honored and lucky to be his coach,” said Berokoff said in an article on the school’s athletic website. “My staff and I will work extremely hard the next year to ensure he is fully prepared to enter college and compete at an elite level.”
Pacifica Christian, based in Newport Beach, is ranked third in this week’s CIF Division 4AA rankings.
The Tritons, 14-6 overall, play Orangewood Academy Tuesday night at 7:30 on the road.
