Orange County high school baseball highlights and final scores for Tuesday, April 8

EMPIRE LEAGUE

FULLERTON 4, OCEAN VIEW 3: The league-leading Indians (12-5-1, 3-0) were led by Lazer Rojas, who was 2 for 4 with two RBI, a walk and a walk off-single. Malachi Meni was 2 for 4 with a run scored and a double and Mason Park was 2 for 2 with two RBI, a run scored and two walks. Declan Fitzgerald pitched 5 2/3 innings striking out seven, allowing two hits and two runs.

SAN JOAQUIN LEAGUE

PACIFICIA CHRISTIAN 6, WESTERN CHRISTIAN 3: The Tritons (9-6, 4-1) scored four runs in the bottom of the sixth inning to earn the victory. Luke Miller was 3 for 4 with two RBI, Carter Canada was 2 for 4, Scout Escobedo and Rowen Gate each had an RBI. Jon Stone pitched five innings, striking out five and Johnny Coopman pitched two innings, striking out two.

TRINITY LEAGUE

SERVITE 2, MATER DEI 1: The Friars (11-5, 2-2) were led by Toby Kwon, who pitched a complete game allowing one run and four hits while striking out four. PJ Becerra and Matthew Figueroa had RBI. The teams play again Wednesday at 6:30 p.m. at Mater Dei.

COAST LEAGUE

SAVANNA 7, ESTANCIA 1: Jacob Ramirez was 2 for 3 with a run scored, Miles Dodge was 1 for 2 and Sawyer Atkinson 1 for 4 with an RBI to lead Estancia (10-8, 5-2). Savanna is 12-6 overall and 4-3 in league play.

ORANGE LEAGUE

BOLSA GRANDE 10, MAGNOLIA 2: Bolsa Grande had 15 hits in the game. Junior Rizo, Martin Cobarrubias, and Tank Britton each collected multiple hits for the Matadors, who stole four bases. Mikey Haley earned the win, allowed seven hits and two runs (one earned) in five innings while striking out four and walking two.

SANTA ANA ELKS TOURNAMENT

COSTA MESA 3, NORTHVIEW 1: Mateo Navarro pitched one shutout inning, allowing one hit and striking out two, Troy Simmonds pitched six innings allowing six hits and one earned run and striking out two. Wylan Rottschafer was 1 for 3 with a triple and a run scored and Owen Dever was1 for 3 with a walk off home run and two RBI to lead the Mustangs (13-6).

Beckman 5, Ontario Christian 2

NON-LEAGUE

LA QUINTA 13, SANTA ANA 1: The Aztecs improved their record to 10-4 with a win on Tuesday. La Quinta is in second place in the Orange League.
