Orange County boys basketball teams wrapped up 2018 with successful runs in tournaments which ended in championships.

This past weekend, Newport Harbor and Corona del Mar and La Habra all captured tournament titles.
Beckman got to the semifinals of the Century Elks Tournament but lost to Sunny Hills and wound up 2-2. El Toro took third place.
University and San Clemente each reached the semifinals of the Tustin Classic. But University lost to Los Osos and San Clemente fell to Compton. Los Osos won the tournament title defeating Compton, 58-56 Saturday night. Coach Mark Hill’s Esperanza team took the consolation title defeating Northwood 53-41.
Northwood, Woodbridge and University all wound up 2-2 in the Tustin Classic.
In addition, Cypress boys basketball team captured both the Bellflower Bucs Tournament and the Coyote Classic.
Tesoro won the So Cal Elite Gary Raya Classic. Villa Park captured the Godinez Grizzly Invitational and Mater Dei won the Corona del Mar Beach Bash Tournament.
Also, Garden Grove won the Los Amigos Tournament.
The Argonauts also won the Rancho Alamitos Tournament Saturday, defeating Irvine 69-64.
Also last month, the North-South Challenge at Tesoro featured some outstanding teams in a two-day event.
At the start of the basketball season, Orange Lutheran won the Rumble for Rosecreans Avenue Tournament.
