Orange County boys basketball highlights, final scores for Wednesday, Nov. 26

FEAST WEEK

CYPRESS 66, LACES 28: The Centurions (3-0) were led by Ryan Gov and Gavin Kroll each with 13 points. Jamarion Woods and Seth Monney each finished with seven points. Cypress will play Aliso Niguel on Saturday at 6:30 p.m. at Foothill.

ALISO NIGUEL 56, FOOTHILL 42: The Wolverines (3-2) were led by Jay Mysin (23 points) and Collin Tjin (11 points).

MISSION VIEJO 57, UNIVERSITY 43: University senior forward Josh Thio scored the first five points of the game before Mission Viejo scored the next 14 points. Mission Viejo led 18-7 after one quarter, but University cut the margin to 28-24 at half and that’s as close as it would get.

Mission Viejo (3-2) was led in scoring by four senior starters: small forward Hudson Dunlap (17 points and three 3-pointers), swingman Jeremy Gonzalez (16 points and two 3-pointers), point guard Damian Navarro with 13 points and swingman Tyson Koedel with nine points.

Junior center Abdallah Shami led University (2-4) with nine points, 12 rebounds (7 offensive) and three blocks. Thio finished with nine points and five rebounds. In his first action of the season, sophomore guard Yousuf Chalan had seven points and three steals.

RANCHO ALAMITOS TOURNAMENT

BREA OLINDA 62, IRVINE 51: Irvine (3-3) was led by Evan Terakawa with 11 points. Shawn Rahimi had eight points and Chase Brito seven points. Brea Olinda’s record improved to 3-0.

NON-LEAGUE

EL DORADO 80, GARDEN GROVE 56: In their home opener, the Golden Hawks (4-1) were led by Dillan Gandhi who hd 14 points and Noah Barker and Evan Nam who had 12 points each. Jack Boettner and Noah Querubin had nine points each and Dean Armand seven points.

WISEBURN DA VINCI 70, PACIFICA CHRISTIAN 68: Pacifica Christian was led by Austin Brinker, who had 17 points; Michael Noel who had 15 points and five assists, Soloman Huang, who had 12 points and four assists; Donovan Hogan, who had nine points and eight rebounds and Joaquin Rigdon who had eight points and seven assists.
