ESPERANZA 89, LOS ALTOS 81 (2 OT): The Aztecs (8-1) were led by senior Vincent Garza, who had 25 points, eight rebounds and five assists. Sophomore Mason Moore had 18 points, 13 rebounds and three assists and senior Jordan Firman 16 points and six assists. It was the first loss for Los Altos (7-1).
WESTERN TOURNAMENT
NEWPORT HARBOR 71, CALIFORNIA 51: The Sailors won the opening game of the tournament Monday. Marcel Aguilar led Newport Harbor with 18 points. Antonio Hatziris had 13 points.
YORBA LINDA 60, WESTERN 54: The Mustangs (4-6) were led by Jordan McCormack who scored 13 points. Dante Lewis added eight points. Omar Flores scored 18 points to lead Western (1-4).
NON-LEAGUE
TARBUT V’ TORAH 63, VISTA MERIDIAN 24: The Lions were led by Matt Olen who had 15 points and five 3-pointers. Ari Varon had 13 points and Eli Feinberg 12 points, nine rebounds and eight assists. Ori Maya had a season high 16 rebounds.
FOOTHILL 58, SAN CLEMENTE 52: The Knights (4-4) were led by Justic Linares, who had 16 points and six rebounds. Braden Davidson had 10 points and seven rebounds, Magnus Lawson 12 points and two steals and Damir Buckingham 11 points.
