BOYS

EMPIRE LEAGUE

Cypress 61, Kennedy 26: Freshman Ryan Gov led Cypress (10-10, 2-0) with 12 points and two 3-pointers. Michael Wright had eight points and 12 rebounds. Kason White and Jonas Hanson each had seven points.

“We were able to get stops and get out in transition tonight,” said Coach Derek Mitchell. “Our crowd gave us extra energy without being against Kennedy.”

Tustin 53, Valencia 23: Ethan Contreras had 10 assists and 0 turnovers, Eli Nyeazi 19 points and Josh Birket 10 points and 11 rebounds to lead Tustin (15-6, 1-1). Cheng had seven points to lead Valencia (5-16, 0-2).

PACIFIC COAST CONFERENCE

Beckman 70, Irvine 55: Beckman (11-9, 2-1) earned a league win at Irvine. The Patriots were led by Abhi Archarya with 19 points, Miguel Llanes, who scored 18 and Caydon Do, who had 12 points. Irvine (13-11, 1-3) was led by Daniel Shin (15 points) and Cooper Stearns (13 points).

Costa Mesa 73, St. Margaret’s 66: The Mustangs (10-11, 5-2) handed St. Margaret’s its first league loss in a game at Costa Mesa. Josh Galamgam led Costa Mesa with 22 points. Christian Dasca added 18 popints and Aiden Ogo had 12 points, four rebounds and five assists. St. Margaret’s (14-5, 6-1) is tied with Calvary Chapel for first place.

Orange 68, Saddleback 49: The Panthers were led by Chris Abraham, who scored 24 points. Trimel King had 19 points and Arman Saucedo 14 points.

SOUTH COAST LEAGUE

Tesoro 75, San Clemente 44: The Titans (18-4, 1-1) were led by Carson Brown, who scored 32 points. Blake Manning had 15 points and Jake Bennett, Nathan Draper and Matthew Hanley eight points each.

GOLDEN WEST LEAGUE

Ocean View 45, Godinez 41: Senior Peyton Guerrero scored 22 points including a clutch-three pointer with 40 seconds left to lift the Seahawks to the win, according to Coach Steve Harris. Senior Tyler Pham added 11 points for Ocean View (12-9, 2-1).

GARDEN GROVE LEAGUE

Loara 70, Rancho Alamitos 34: Loara’s 6-7 junior Center Markus Toscano had 21 points and 12 rebounds. Kedir Abdi, a senior forward, added 17 points and seven rebounds for the Saxons. Henry Phan had 19 points to lead Rancho Alamitos

Loara is 12-10 overall and 3-1 in league play while Rancho Alamitos is 11-11 and 1-3.

Foothill 87, Esperanza 57: The Knights (19-1 overall) won their 14th in a row Friday night. Isaiah Bernard had 17 points and six rebounds, Carlo Billings had 11 points, seven assists and three rebounds and Marco Manzi scored nine points.

Canyon 83, Brea Olinda 29

Yorba Linda 46, El Modena 43: Jake Hansen, Tanner Yoon and Jordan J. Laws each scored 10 points to lead Yorba Linda (15-6). El Modena (15-7) was led by Jaden Esparza, who had 18 points.

Edison 42, Los Alamitos 33

Newport Harbor 69, Laguna Beach 55: Dash Bastedo had 23 points and Adam Gaa 13 rebounds to lead Newport Harbor (16-6, 2-0).

TRINTY LEAGUE

JSerra 61, Servite 46: JSerra was led by Korin Hull and Jake Stafford, who had 11 points each. Aidan Fowler and Diego Martinez scored nine points each for the Lions (14-6, 1-3). Scott Schultz had 14 points and Aaron Ballistrieri 10 to lead Servite.

GIRLS

EMPIRE LEAGUE

Crean Lutheran 54, Pacifica 17: The Saints won their second straight league game.
Quinsey Bryan had 12 points, five assists, six steals, two rebounds and two blocks to lead the Saints.

Savannah Brawley had 14 points, Sydnee Norwood six points, four rebounds and two steals and Jane Hewitt six points, one assist and two steals for Crean Lutheran.

FREEWAY LEAGUE

Sonora 57, La Habra 47: Larissa Robles scored 17 pooints, Kiki Graham had 10 points and six steals and Mia Chavari had nine points to lead Sonora (19-2, 4-0).

Troy 43, Sunny Hills 30

Beckman at Irvine

Portola 64, Laguna Hills 14: Moka Saiki scored 17 points, Bianca Morrell 14 points and Kira Watanabe 11 points to lead the Bulldogs (16-5) to the win.
