PACIFICA 8, KENNEDY 0: The Mariners (17-6, 7-0) remained atop the Empire League with the victory and Coach Mike Caira earned his 300th career victory. Pacifica leads second place Cypress by one game.
Matthew Futami got the win, pitching six innings and striking out nine and allowing one hit.
David Newman pitched one inning and struck out two. Aiden Marquez was 2 for 4 with an RBI and a run scored, Jacob Zanaboni had a run scored, Nolan Caira was 1 for 4 with a run scored, Jayson Juarez 1 for 1 with two runs scored. Joshua Pearman scored two runs, Conner Chavez was 1 for 4 with a double and three RBI and Victory Cardona 1 for 3 with an RBI.
FULLERTON 4, LA HABRA 3: The Indians (17-7-1, 6-1) won the Freeway League game on an RBI single by Malachi Meni in the ninth inning, helping league-leading Fullerton notch the comeback win.
FOOTHILL 1, VILLA PARK 0: Foothill (18-6, 3-3) was led by Tyler Hawkins who got the save striking out five and allowed three hits in five innings in the Crestview League game. Garrett Davidson earned the save, striking out two and allowing one hit. Adam Ujiie allowed two hits and struck out two.
Ezekiel Vargas scored a run, Noah Macaleino had a sacrifice fly and Sean Green and Mason Souter each had a hit.
CORONA DEL MAR 9, LAGUNA BEACH 5: The Sea Kings (14-9, 5-3) won their second straight Surf League game against Laguna Beach Wednesday at Laguna Beach. CdM (14-9, 5-3) was led by Carter Danz and Nick Salmon, who each had home runs.
SERVITE 1, SANTA MARGARITA 0: The Friars (12-12, 3-8) earned a Trinity League win Wednesday. Miles Scott earned the win, pitching six innings, allowing three hits and striking out six. Carter Vanderhook pitched one inning striking out one, Austin Boatright had the RBI for Servite. The two teams meet Friday in the deciding game of the series.
