Opening kick-offs for many Orange County high school football teams are approaching quickly with zero week games on Thursday, Aug. 17 and Friday Aug. 18. There are also two games on Saturday, Aug. 19.
Some teams open the following week on week one.

Villa Park opened its season Friday night in Hawaii defeating Damien of Honolulu, Oahu 37-13. The Spartans next home game will be Thursday, Oct. 24 vs. Orange at Fred Kelly Stadium.
Segerstrom and Fullerton prepared for the start of the season with a scrimmage on Friday at Segerstrom. There were scrimmages on both the varsity and junior varsity levels.
Richard Salazar led his Fullerton team while Joseph Tagaloa guided Segerstrom in front of fans at Segerstrom.
Both teams are on the road for their first games on Friday. Fullerton plays at San Dimas while Segerstrom is at San Pasqual.
