It was quite a week for Ocean View’s leadoff hitter Thomas Williams.
Williams went 9 for 9 at the plate in two Ocean View victories over Godinez this week, capping the week with a 6 for 6 effort in Friday’s Golden West League win, the 11th in a row for the league champions, according to Coach Tanner Van Maanen.
On Friday, he had four doubles, one triple and a single and along with five runs scored and an RBI. In Wednesday’s game, Williams was 3 for 3 with three RBI, a double and triple and a run scored in the Seahawks 10-0 victory.
Ocean View is 18-6 overall and 8-0 in league play going into the final week of the regular season.
