OC high school softball, baseball teams earn berths in CIF So Cal Regionals

Orange County high school softball and baseball teams earned berths in the CIF So Cal Regional Championships run by the CIF state office.

The three-game tourneys begin Tuesday, continue Thursday and wrap up Saturday with Southern California championships. There is no state final this year, but state finals are planned in 2027.

Higher seeded teams get the home games in the regional.

SOFTBALL

First round Tuesday, June 2, 4 p.m.

DIVISION I

No. 5 Point Loma at No. 4 Whittier Christian

No. 7 Bonita at No. 2 La Habra (La Habra wins by forfeit, hosts St. Paul Thursday).

DIVISION IV

No. 6 Avenal at No. 3 Irvine

BASEBALL

First round Tuesday, June 2, 4 p.m.

DIVISION 1

No. 7 Huntington Beach at No. 2 Patrick Henry

DIVISION II

No. 7 Madison at No. 2 Newport Harbor

DIVISION III

No. 5 Laguna Beach at No. 4 Helix
