Day two of the Ryan Lemmon high school baseball series featuring 26 teams is scheduled for Monday, March 29 at ball parks throughout Orange County.
The annual Ryan Lemmon Invitational format had to be changed this year due to the coronavirus pandemic with the majority of the games held at host high schools and some games at the Orange County Great Park.
Decisions on who will be allowed to attend the games is up to each host school. The event is sponsored by the Ryan Lemmon Foundation.
Games began on Saturday.
The championship game will be on Wednesday, March 30, at 6 p.m. at the Great Park Stadium. The teams in the finals will be determined based on the first three games, event director Dick Owens said.
“We have seven of the top 20 OC baseball teams in the tournament,” Owens said.
Teams in the tournament are Aliso Niguel, Arlington, Brea Olinda, Calvary Chapel, Canyon, Capistrano Valley, Centennial, Corona del Mar, Dana Hills, El Dorado, El Modena, Foothill, La Mirada, Laguna Beach, Los Alamitos, Mission Viejo, Newport Harbor, Notre Dame Sherman Oaks, Pacifica, San Juan Hills, Segerstrom, South Hills, Trabuco Hills, Tustin, Yorba Linda and Yucaipa.
