La Habra standout senior pitcher Josh Castillo, who helped the Highlanders win their first CIF championship, has been named CIF Division 6 player of the year.
Highlanders Coach Jack Brooks was named the coach of the year.
La Habra players senior Matt Coats, who along with Castillo was named the Freeway League co-pitcher of the year, and senior outfielder David Shackelford were named to the All-CIF first team. Castillo finished with a 12-4 record.
La Habra finished 26-10 and won both the CIF DIvision 6 title and CIF Southern Regional Division V championship.
The teams were selected by the CIF-SS Baseball Coaches Association and presented by LA84 Foundation.
