Kennedy High’s junior pitcher Wyatt Johnson, who led the Fighing Irish to the CIF Division 4 title and a 26-9 overall record, has been named the player of the year for the division.
Kennedy coach Tom Monahan was named coach of the year while Kennedy’s junior shortstop Chase Leonard was also selected to the All-CIF team.
The awards were announced Thursday by the LA84 Foundation and selected selected by CIF-SS Baseball Coaches’ Association.
