It’s another big night of boys high school basketball in Orange County and OC Sports Zone will provide highlights and game coverage later tonight.

Among the big games:

—Newport Harbor, which attained its 20th win this week faces Edison in a battle for first place in the Surf League at 7 p.m. at Edison. Both teams are 2-0 in league. Newport Harbor is 20-3 overall, Edison 15-9.

—Cypress will try and stay atop the Empire League standings with a victory against Tustin at Cypress. Tip-off is 6 p.m. Cypress is 18-5 overall and 5-0 atop the standings while Tustin is 16-7 and 3-2. The Tillers have won their last three games.

—Crean Lutheran plays at Kennedy in an Empire League contest at 6 p.m. The Saints (13-8, 4-1) are trying to remain within striking distance of league-leading Cypress with big games on the horizon next week against Tustin and Cypress. Coach Nate Klitzing’s Crean Lutheran team has won its last three games overall.

—Portola plays at Beckman in a key Pacific Coast League game at 7 p.m. When Beckman was upset by University and Portola defeated Woodbridge, it put the two teams in a tie for first place. Beckman is a different kind of team this year than it was when it won the league title. The Patriots are favored to win the title, but Portola (12-11, 4-1) has been impressive at times, led by Robert Giraldy and Mohsen Hashemi. Expect a big and lively crowd for this one.

Please check back later tonight for highlights of these games and others.
