Jason Ford scored 14 points and Ben Bernstein added seven points to lead the Oilers (3-6).
“We didn’t play well, but grinded it out,” said Oilers Coach Tino Zaragoza. “It was a really sloppy, grind it out game by both teams. We just made a few more plays down the stretch. We play them again Friday (at Huntington Beach) so we’ve got to be ready.”
Segerstrom fell to 1-7 overall.
