Griffin Haugh of Dana Hills was named the MVP of the Loara Tournament Saturday after leading the Dolphins to the championship.
Dana Hills defeated Servite 50-46 in the title game Saturday.
Named to the all-tournament team were Jake Read and Isaac Davis of Newport Harbor, Miles Song and Tyler Small of Servite, Justin Gee, Northwood and Adam Pellino and Christian Boehmer, Dana Hills.
GARY RAYA TOURNEY STARTS
El Dorado’s boys basketball program will host the Gary Raya Classic beginning Monday.
Teams in pool A are Yorba Linda, Schurr, El Toro and Upland. Teams in Pool B are El Dorado, Segerstrom, Bonita and California.
Games on Monday, Dec. 6 are Yorba Linda vs. Schurr, 5:30 p.m. at Segerstrom vs. El Dorado, 7 p.m. The tournament continues through the week with the championship Saturday at 6 p.m.
CDM BEACH BASH UNDER WAY
The 2021 Beach Bash Tourney returns this week at Corona del Mar High School and Newport Harbor includes Mater Dei, Crean Lutheran, Pacifica Christian, Tesoro, Los Alamitos and JSerra.
In games on Monday, Trabuco Hills meets JSerra at 3 p.m., Crean Lutheran faces Laguna Beach at 4:30 p.m. and Valley View faces Pacifica Christian at CdM. Etiwanda meets Newport Harbor Monday at 7 p.m. at Newport Harbor.
The championship game is Saturday at 8 p.m. at CdM.
