Portola’s girls lacrosse team was off to a 4-2 start when the season ended. The players on the team were looking to do well in Pacific Coast League play.

The team was being led by freshman Jadyn Zdanavage, who was also the PCL cross country league champion and MVP, and sophomore Celine Aoki.

Zdanavage was leading the PCL in ground balls collected and points per game.  She was second in goals and draw controls per game. Aoki was tied for second in the PCL in ground balls and was third in goals per game.

The squad was coached by Sofia David and assisted by Phoebe Salomon.

If you took pictures before the season, we would like to share team pictures of spring teams with our readers. These can be pictures of seniors or the entire team and we will run these throughout the coming months to salute the dedicated athletes of Orange County who have had their seasons cut short. Please email pictures, names of the players and some highlights to timburt@ocsportszone.com so we can share with our readers. Horizontal pictures similar in size to the one above work best. Please do not take pictures now for us.
