CORONA DEL MAR 11, LAGUNA BEACH 0: The Sea Kings swept the three-game Wave League series from Laguna Beach with a victory on Saturday at Laguna Beach.
The Sea Kings (13-4, 3-0) were led by Max Lane, Keller Strauss and Ryan Zimmerman, who all had home runs. Jack Bolt threw five scoreless innings for CdM.
BOYS BASKETBALL
CORONA DEL MAR 65, NORTHOOD 56: Sanjay Sewari scored 20 points and George Bruening added 15 points to lead Corona del Mar (5-8) in the non-league game Saturday.
Emon Farsoni scored 25 points to lead Northwood.
GIRLS BASKETBALL
WOODBRIDGE 57, UNIVERSITY 35: Averi Nguyen scored 19 points and made five 3-pointers in the Pacific Coast League game Friday night. Hana Watanabe and Kara Lao had eight points each for Woodbridge (7-2, 6-2).
PORTOLA 56, LAGUNA HILLS 35: The league-leading Bulldogs (9-1, 7-1) were led by Moka Saiki, who had 15 points and Allyson Tabayoyong and Lauren Shiihara, who had eight points each in the Pacific Coast League game Friday night.
Imaan Ibrahim scored 16 points and Maddy Riddle 12Â points to lead Laguna Hills.
