Tuesday’s rain is expected to have a major impact on high school league baseball games on Tuesday.
All the Pacific Coast League games have been postponed. The Irvine vs. Beckman game at Beckman has been rescheduled for Monday, April 10.
The Woodbridge at Northwood and Portola at University games have also been postponed. No makeup dates have been announced.
The Tustin vs. Valencia Empire League game has been postponed and tentatively rescheduled for Friday, March 27 at 3 p.m., according to Tustin Coach Charles Chatman.
With rain expected, Orange and Saddleback moved up their Orange Coast League game to Monday and Orange won 15-2 in a game that was called after four innings because of the run rule.
Jonathon Long led Orange, going 3 for 4 with two doubles, three RBI and three runs scored. Bryan Zargoza was 2 for 4 with a double and three RBI, Andy Mendoza was 1 for 2 with a double, two RBI and two walks. Simon Link pitched four innings, allowing two hits and striking out eight for the Panthers (7-4, 2-0).
