Irvine’s football team has jumped out to a 24-0 halftime lead in the CIF Division 11 playoffs over fourth seeded Ocean View behind the passing of Marc Filia, who has thrown for 140 yards.
Irvine capped the first half with a 69-yard TD run by Lorenzo Bazzani.
Danny Frukacz has a 12-yard TD run and hauled in a 20-yard TD pass from Filia.
Bryce Tanikawa started the scoring with a 27-yard field goal.
Also tonight, Santa Ana has a 42-14 lead over Fountain Valley at Santa Ana Stadium and Temecula Valley is leading Woodbridge 28-10 at halftime.
