Godinez High School’s boys basketball team captured third place Saturday at the Oxford Academy Tournament.
The Grizzlies (12-6) defeated the host school Oxford Academy 55-31 on Saturday to clinch third place. Lucas Andaluz led Godinez with 22 points and was named all-tournament.
Adrian Gonzalez added nine points for Godinez which also defeated California Academy of Math and Sciences 60-38 and Anaheim 57-38. Loara defeated Godinez 52-43 in the first game of the tourney.
Godinez, coached by Robert Morgan, hosts Segerstrom, Wednesday, Jan. 3 in the Golden West League opener.
