Godinez boys basketball team holds on and defeats Segerstrom 43-38 in Golden West League game

Godinez boys basketball team held off a fourth quarter threat from Segerstrom to capture a 43-38 Golden West League victory Friday night at Godinez.

Segerstrom outscored Godinez 28-14 in the second half.

Godinez and Segerstrom are both 2-4 in Golden West League play chasing third place Westminster, which is 3-3.

Godinez (10-14 overall) hosts Westminster (9-13) Wednesday night at 7:15 p.m.

Segerstrom (6-17) hosts league-leading Ocean View (16-8) Wednesday night at 7:15 p.m.
