The fourth annual Ethan “Boomer” Stahl Pool Tournament will be held on Saturday, July 29 at noon at Goat Hill Tavern in Costa Mesa, according to Stahl’s father, Harry Stahl.
The event has been held each year in honor of the former University High School baseball player who died in July 2020.
Ethan Stahl has been honored by the baseball program at University.
“This year the Uni baseball program renamed the Most Inspirational Player Award in Ethan’s honor,” Harry Stahl said. “It is now named the Ethan ‘Boomer’ Stahl Most Inspirational Player of the Year Award. A perennial plaque for the award was made and the name of each year’s winner will be added to it.”
The buy-in is $10 for the pool tournament. The tavern is located at 1830 Newport Blvd.
