Estancia and Santa Ana try to lock up championships in wild Orange Coast League race

There is still quite a logjam in the Orange Coast League baseball race entering the final day of league play on Wednesday.

Santa Ana and Estancia (both 9-5) are tied for the league lead while Orange, Costa Mesa and Calvary Chapel (all 8-6) are tied for second place.

Santa Ana (14-9 overall) plays at Orange (12-14) Wednesday afternoon at 3 p.m. hoping to secure a share of the league title.

Estancia, which defeated Saddleback 24-0 in four innings Tuesday, hosts Saddleback (1-22, 0-14) trying to lock up a share of the title under Coach Kevin Conlin.

Santa Ana notched a 3-1 victory over Orange on Tuesday.

Kaleb Jimenez got the victory for Santa Ana and Josue Sanchez led the offensive attack going 2 for 2, according to Coach David Silva.

If necessary, playoff games would be held on Thursday to determine seedings for the CIF playoffs.
