Edison’s boys basketball team opened the season with a 63-55 victory over Mission Viejo in the Edison Saturday After Thanksgiving Showcase.
But it was a rough start for the Chargers, coached by Rich Boyce.
“It was a costly win as two starters (Aiden Garnett and Connor Collins) sprained ankles pretty badly in first half and will be out quite a while,” Boyce said Monday.
Leading scorers for Edison were Kaden Headington with 19 points, Luke Serven with 14 points and Jack Horton with nine points.
Edison is back in action Tuesday at the Godinez Tournament to face Dana Hills at 7:45 p.m.
