Northwood’s football team opens the CIF Division 12 playoffs at Rio Hondo Prep.
Northwood and Ocean View are the two Orange County squads in the CIF Division 12 playoffs and both have challenging first-round playoff games.
Northwood (8-2) will be on the road to face fourth-seeded Rio Hondo Prep (9-0) while Ocean View (7-3) will take on top-seeded El Monte (10-0). El Monte is the Mission Valley League champion.
Oak Park (9-0) is the second seeded team and Moreno Valley (9-1) is third seeded.
