Cypress, Northwood, El Dorado and Sonora capture victories

CYPRESS 77, CERRITOS 50: Coach Derek Mitchell’s Centurions notched a non-league victory at home Thursday.

Dylan Higa led Cypress (5-7) with 11 points. Kody Papke scored nine points and Devin Francisco, Devin Cunningham, Devon Washington all had eight points.

The Centurions will play in the North/South Challenge Tuesday at Tesoro. Cypress will represent the North in a 5:30 p.m. game vs Mission Viejo of the South.

NORTHWOOD 71, BECKMAN 68 (2 OTs): The Timberwolves (9-4, 1-2) captured a Pacific Coast League victory in double overtime Thursday night at Northwood. Justin Gee scored 19 points, Devin Huang had 11 points and four assists and Aditya Seth had 12 points, nine rebounds and four assists.

Northwood led by six with about a minute left in regulation before Beckman battled back to send the game into overtime.

EL DORADO 65, VALENCIA 32: The Hawks (11-2) were led by Jacob Kang, who scored 14 points and Hudson Novack who had 13 points. El Dorado captured the Kraemer Cup with the victory. Valencia fell to 2-7 overall.

SONORA 63, LA SERNA 29: Sonora (8-5) captured a non-league victory Thursday night. Yode Oke scored 15 points and Sam Esparza 14 points to lead Sonora.
