CYPRESS 76, BEVERLY HILLS 68: The Centurions captured a victory at the Rajahs Tournament at Indio Tuesday night. Jonah Kim had 21 points and made four 3-pointers, Jonas Hanson had 17 points and three 3-pointers and nine rebounds and Kody Papke had 10 points to lead Cypress.
“The boys had a different focus today,” said Cypress Coach Derek Mitchell. “I think we had too much of a relaxing break coming off our three wins and the Christmas holiday. Today, we looked to be that team who won three in a row again.”
Cypress (6-8) faces another tough challenge against Highland Wednesday.
CREAN LUTHERAN 63, JESUIT 49: The Saints (10-0) were led by Koat Keat who had 25 points and 10 rebounds and Vyctorius Miller who scored 22 points. Crean Lutheran advances into the semifinals of its division at the Damien Classic.
ALISO NIGUEL 48, EL DORADO 38: Tyler Weaver scored 21 points and Brandon Novida 15 points to lead Aliso Niguel. Hudson Novak scored 13 points and Jacob Kang had eight points to lead El Dorado (13-3).
BREA OLINDA 80, CENTURY 23: The Wildcats notched their second win at the Century Tournament. Garrett Brookman led Brea Olinda with 28 points. Colin Na and Josh Han added 12 points each.
LA HABRA 56, ORANGE 28: The Highlanders captured a victory at the Orange Holiday Classic. Eric Castillo scored 13 points and Marcus Works had 12 points, four steals and four rebounds to lead La Habra.
