Crean Lutheran senior point guard Taylor Feldman accomplished another milestone Saturday evening, reaching the 2,000 point level in her four-year career with the Saints.
Feldman scored 20 points to lead Crean Lutheran to a 76-36 victory over Aliso Niguel at Crean Lutheran.
“She reached a huge milestone of scoring her 2,000 career points but to not downplay this, her defense was stifling,” said co-head coach Bianca Ziemann.
Senior guard Emily Reed added 18 points and made six of seven 3-point field goals.
“She found her rhythm and was in the right place at the right time,” Ziemann said.
Crean Lutheran also got a strong effort from sophomore center Gianna DeForest, who had 18 points.
“Her presence down low on defense and her strong finishes at the rim was incredible tonight,” Ziemann said. “Overall, the girls displayed our motto: Saints > Self. We are blessed to coach these 12 young ladies.”
Crean Lutheran (6-2) hosts North Torrance Wednesday at 4:30 p.m.
