The Saints move on to face Trabuco Hills in the second round Saturday at Crean Lutheran at 6 p.m.
“Last night’s win was the result of focused, intentional practices put into action,” said Crean Lutheran Coach Monty Johns on Friday. “The team has worked hard to improve first and second contacts and it showed last night.
“The starters, particularly Abby Thies at libero, and our setters Aynsley Bryan and Sara Cho played well. However, every member of the team came through in crucial moments to help secure the victory.”
