Summer practice is under way for Crean Lutheran’s football team under second-year coach Randall Reynoso.
“Started summer ball last week and (the team is) progressing well,” Reynoso said.
It’s looking like a busy summer for Crean Lutheran.
The Saints will be competing in a varsity skills competition on Tuesday at Garden Grove High and take part in the Sunny Hills passing tournament on Saturday, July 13.
Crean Lutheran will also host its annual passing league tournament on Saturday, July 20, Reynoso said.
The team will also host a summer passing tournament with St. Margaret’s on Monday, July 22 and Wednesday, July 24.
Crean Lutheran will host a varsity scrimmage on Friday, Aug. 16 with Santa Rosa, Laguna Beach and St, Margaret’s at 4 p.m., according to the coach.
The Saints season opener is Friday, Aug. 23 against Maranatha at Crean Lutheran’s home field at Portola High School.
