CREAN LUTHERAN 77, PACIFICA 31: The Saints (9-2, 7-0) remained atop the Empire League standings with the victory Tuesday night.
Crean Lutheran, ranked No. 1 in this week’s CIF 2A poll, was led by Alex Davis, who had 14 points and four assists. Michael Birket had 11 points and five rbounds and Koat Keat had eight points and three assists for the Saints.
CYPRESS 63, VALENCIA 41: The Centurions (8-4, 6-1) remained a game behind league-leading Crean Lutheran with the victory.
“It was a team win tonight,” said Cypress Coach Derek Mitchell. “The team was clicking on offense and defense as they were omnipresent on the court.”
Cypress was led by Dylan Higa who had 16 points, Mark Onyejekwe, who had 12 points and Devon Washington, who had nine points.
Cypress will host Kennedy Friday night for senior night.
Valencia (7-9, 4-3) was led by Niko Jaimes with 15 points and Eli Arthurton with 10 points.
PORTOLA 95, UNIVERSITY 61: The Bulldogs (8-6, 6-3) were led by Devin Daniel with 23 points, Tyler Huang with 15 points and Colin Huang with 13 points in the Pacific Coast League game.
FOOTHILL 73, ESPERANZA 42: The Knighs (16-3, 3-1) were led by Austin Overn, who had 16 points and three steals. Braedeyn Benhard had 13 rebounds and seven points, Cruz Billings had 12 points and three assists and Jacob Horton had 11 points and three assists.
Foothill, ranked No. 1 in this week’s CIF 3AA poll, plays Canyon Friday night.
COSTA MESA 49, ESTANCIA 46: The Mustangs won the Orange Coast League game, which was the Battle for the Bell. Gio Quero and Jordan Martin scored 12 points each to lead Costa Mesa, which improved its league record to 6-1.
CANYON 92, YORBA LINDA 60: Canyon (13-4, 4-1) was led by Ramirez, who scored 17 points and Johnathan Carey, who had 15 points. Josh Goodall and Tyler Howard each added 14 points for Canyon.
Jaylen Harvey led Yorba Linda with 22 points.
