Crean Lutheran’s boys water polo team opened the season Thursday with a 11-8 non-league victory on the road over Buena Park.
It marked the first game for new coach Ed Carrera.
“It was a great start to the season but we still have a lot of work to do,” Carrera said.
Tate Fitzgerald scored five goals to lead the Saints. Jonathan DiPinta also played well offensively and Austin Griffin had 10 saves for Crean Lutheran, Carrera added.
