One Santa Ana High School football star Nick Larriva announced this week that he had committed to Idaho State University.
Saints coach Charlie TeGantvoort confirmed on Friday Larriva would be receiving a full-ride football scholarship. (please click here for the story).
Now, Santa Ana football fans are waiting to see where Larriva’s teammate Patrick McMorris commits to.
McMorris said on Twitter last week that he was “blessed to receive a fourth offer from Idaho State University.”
So, perhaps McMorris, a talented running back and free safety, will wind up at Idaho State as well and be one of Larriva’s teammates or he might take up one of the other offers.
McMorris had an amazing season for the Saints, playing just half a schedule after transferring from Godinez and was named the MVP of the Orange Coast League.
“Patrick is an amazing athlete who emerged as one of the top overall players in the area on any level,” TeGantvoort said.
McMorris had 2,464 all-purpose yards: 1,801 yards rushing along with 23 touchdowns and 375 receiving yards and three touchdowns. On defense, he had 99 tackles and three interceptions.
TeGantvoort did not indicate where he thought McMorris might wind up.
