CIF softball playoff pairings announced; wild card games scheduled on Tuesday

The CIF softball playoff pairings have been announced.

The playoffs begin with wild card games on Tuesday. Among them, Segerstrom, which finished second in the Golden West League, hosts Harvard Westlake, the No. 3 team from the Mission League in a Division 4 wild card game.

In Division 6 wild card games on Tuesday, Century plays at Lancaster, Saddleback Valley Christian plays at San Marino and Estancia is at Coachella.

First round games begin on Thursday.

In Division 1, Pacifica hosts Valencia/Valencia, Orange Lutheran hosts Los Altos, Esperanza hosts Mater Dei, Huntington Beach is at Grand Terrace, Los Alamitos hosts Newbury Park, Santa Margarita hosts Redlands East Valley and San Clemente hosts Aliso Niguel.

In Division 2, Marina is the top seeded team and hosts the winner of the Don Lugo-Temecula Valley wild card game.

Also in Division 2, El Modena hosts Beaumont, Foothill is at Ayala, Cypress is at Cerritos, Woodbridge is at Sonora, La Habra is at La Mirada, Tesoro is at Dana Hills, Canyon hosts Bonita and Kennedy is at Lakewood.

In Division 3, Brea Olinda is at top-seeded Crescenta Valley, Fountain Valley hosts San Juan Hills, Irvine is at Bishop Amat.

In Division 4, Beckman is at La Canada and Godinez faces the winner of the St. Anthony vs. El Toro game.

In Division 5, Newport Harbor hosts Ocean View and Loara hosts Katella. Calvary Chapel of Santa Ana hosts San Jacinto.
